The winner has been announced for the 'Young Hairdresser of the Year 2010', presented by HJi and supported by Your Hair. Out of twenty finalists, all under the age of 30, my client, Raychel Farren from MODE hair salon in Chipping Campden steals the victory for her skilfully coloured and vibrant purple crop!
Check out her photographic entry below that impressed the judges enough to put her through to the live final:
The judging panel included some of the top names in hairdressing such as Mark Leeson, Tim Scott-Wright, and Jamie Stevens, who all quizzed the finalists as they worked. The final six presented their models in front of a 4000-strong audience in the Clothes Show's Fashion Theatre, in a high energy show introduced by TV favourite, Gok Wan, and with a special guest appearance from Only Way Is Essex reality star, Kirk Norcross. Raychel follows in the footsteps of Emily Hart from Errol Douglas, Kate Hubbard from Royston Blythe, and Megan Zarrabi of Hob Salons, being named this years most talented young hairdresser in the country!
